Fort Qaitbey. A Mamluk fort built on the sight of the ancient Pharos Lighthouse of Alexandria. The lighthouse was one of the seven wonders of the world and was around four times as high as this fortress.
I am a Brandeis University student spending my junior year abroad. From August to January I am attending the American University in Cairo, and from February to June I am attending Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
