The haziness, even at this distance, is the result of the Black Cloud, which descends upon Cairo when the delta farmers burn their rice fields after the harvest.
I am a Brandeis University student spending my junior year abroad. From August to January I am attending the American University in Cairo, and from February to June I am attending Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
